Digital/UX Designer

We are looking for a talented digital designer who is enthused by the possibilities of working as a key part of a small, dynamic and highly ambitious team. The role will be varied but will be focussed on the conception, production and testing of innovative website prototypes, with an emphasis on usability across devices.

The right person will have:

  • A degree in digital design, UX or a related field (or a comparable level of work experience);
  • A working knowledge of UX principles and best practice for the web;
  • Strong Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills;
  • Familiarity with an industry standard prototyping/wireframing tool such as Axure;
  • Experience with editing content on a CMS such as WordPress or Drupal;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A portfolio which demonstrates creative flair, originality and a firm understanding of the functional possibilities of the web.

Ideally, you will also have previously:

  • Worked in a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Worked on responsive website designs;
  • Worked on UX for functionally complex websites;
  • Worked collaboratively with clients;
  • Tested websites and documented UX/design issues;
  • Gained experience in a similar commercial role.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to a diverse range of exciting client and in-house projects, being closely supported by our Creative Director and our development team.

We are looking for someone who can work full-time (35 hours, Mon-Fri). The position is permanent and will be based at our office in Edinburgh. For the right person, rapid career advancement options are available.
